More about me . . . only if you are curious
Well I'm originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia where I first fell in love with performing. At the tender age of 5, my mother enrolled me into ballet classes to stop me from improperly walking on my tippy toes. She must have really liked me being out of the house a little too much because after that she enrolled me into almost every form of dance known to man, from jazz and hip-hop to modern and African dance. On top of that, she signed me up for vocal training and yearly acting summer sessions with SEVAA at Norfolk State University. Whew!
Later on, I majored in Dance at the Governor's School for the Arts. Upon graduation from high school, I began my quest to explore the wonderful world of media. I earned a B.S. in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University while working as a Production Assistant and interning with the news reporters for the local CBS station. I then went on to become a TV News Reporter for FOX and ABC in Pennsylvania and hosted “Wavelength,” an entertainment TV show that aired weekly in Richmond, Virginia. I have also been an Entertainment Writer for “The Black Star News” in New York.
Since relocating to the tri-state area, in addition to my entertainment writing, I have completed a 2-year Meisner Acting program at the William Esper Studio and The Neighborhood Playhouse. I have performed in numerous plays and independent films and I've worked as a print model for MTV, Miller Brewing Co. and Nuvo (a new beverage company).
Currently, I am featured in a couple of TV and radio commercials including SoftSheen-Carson (manufacturer of Dark & Lovely, Optimum hair care products) Food Network, News 12, the Bridezilla show, “ALL” Laundry Detergent, Ladies Home Journl, A &P and on a radio spot for the Environmental Protection Agency. You can also catch me modeling in a national print ad for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. As I believe the sky is the limit and I plan to continue my love for the Arts any way that I can.
